Thanks. This is just the review I was looking for. I don't shoot raw, but the idea of possibly deleting images whose only crime was to be taken a few seconds after another shot is too scary. The only way to search by image content is through Google, and this cannot be set to scan your own PC. Yet.

If you would like to keep both the JPEG and RAW versions of a file then run Duplicate Annihilator in Classic Mode using the MD5 checksum. Worked for me anyway.

I see your pain. I have 6 aperture libraries containing at least 50,000 images in each and I am positive that 70-80% of these are duplicates. Duplicate annihilator does not detect every duplicate nor does it even scan through my libraries quickly enough. I have no choice but to start the arduous task of manually sorting through my libraries #$!@$!!!

Excellent observations and reporting. I appreciate the time you have taken to tell me these things. I'll be waiting for a better Aperture utility.
